Tree Falls on Class Reunion in Philly Park; Several Hurt

A group gathered for a class reunion was injured after a tree fell on them in Philadelphia's Fairmount Park.

Several injuries were reported after a tree fell on a group that was gathered for a class reunion in Philadelphia's Fairmount Park Sunday.

Fire officials were called to the area near The Mann Center just before 12:30 p.m.

One person was trapped beneath the tree and firefighters extricated them, according to CBS Philadelphia. 

Officials said the reunion involved was of a group of people in their 60s.

Fire department ambulances transported eight people to hospitals.
